Crafts of Character is a program of the Department of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development. The program promotes high-quality, distinctive Newfoundland and Labrador craft, gift and apparel products which demonstrate excellence in creativity and craftsmanship.

Producers and retailers featured on this site have met specific program criteria in order to receive the Crafts of Character designation. For more information about this and other programs offered by the Department of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, please visit our website.

Using the Crafts of Character Site

This website contains a directory of producers and retailers which bear the Crafts of Character symbol. You may search for products by product category or keyword. Each producer has a bio bage showing some of their products, a short description, and contact information. In many cases producers have their own websites providing additional product selection and pricing information. To place an order or make specific inquiries please contact each producer directly.

If you are looking for retailers who sell Crafts of Character products, you can search through a list of shops that are designated Crafts of Character retailers. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of retailers that carry Crafts of Character products.
